the Jealousy Bug has Bitten...

I am so happy for the other SeaBee wives! Many starting their road trips now to get to the spot where we meet up with our hubbies! I pray they all have a safe trip and I am so glad they will be in their in their significant other's loving arms soon. However, I am so jealous that I have to wait a couple more weeks!

I walked around the ponds for 30 minutes today and did my shake weight. The shake weight. My my... I love that crazy little thing.

Today is actually Monday the 12th. I don't know what date this blog thingy is going to post because I am completing a blog I started on the 8th.

Let me just briefly recap the weekend. Friday, nothing spectacular happened at all. I went to work at my job. I came home and went to work. Enough said. Saturday was bruiser's bday. I stayed up til 2 AM making her cake and doing some cleaning. I am never going to get this house clean. The girls are just no help at all. I have to hear guff- yes! I said GUFF!- about any and everything I tell them to do or I have to repeat myself over and over. I am so tired of it. It's getting so old.
Bruiser woke up and grabbed her big box and was carrying it around all morning. It had a frog in it almost as big as she is. I let her open it early along with the Princess and the Frog movie so they could watch it and stay out of my hair for a bit. She was so excited about her "big, giant froggy!" That kid cracks me up. She is still sucking her thumb. This is going on 2 months now. I don't know where it came from but I am hoping it's just a phase.
I took them to the mall to ride the carousel a couple of times. Then we went to McDonald's and ate dinner. And some choice young men decided to fight right there in the restaurant. Ticked me off because it scared Princess and Bruiser to death. Some folks are such idiots! Jeez. Anyway, it was a decent day all in all. She got several other froggy gifts. And she loved them.
On Sunday, I had a fit because I have told the kids to make sure their bikes are put away. I have to back out of the drive and I can't see them. I unfortunately don't take the time to get out and check behind me before I move but I think I will start now. If I can remember...
Anyway, I accidentally ran over the wheel of the birthday girl's brand new radio flyer trike. I am going to have to call the company to see if it can be replaced... Oh well.
Speaking of broken things... I don't know if I mentioned, I bought a new coffee pot. I really like it alot. Hooray for coffee!
My mother had to work on Saturday but she came on Sunday for a bit to give Princess (belated) and Bruiser their b_day gifts. 2 of the cutest little orange dresses that were actually skorts underneath. She also got them a purse each that matches the dress. I went ahead and gave her the gift I was holding for her birthday cause I wasn't planning on being in town. Some awesome slippers that I really wanted to keep for myself. :) And I framed an 8x10 of the kid's daycare pics as well as gave her 5x7s and 3.5x5s of them. She liked it. It wasn't complete but I am on a short leash now.
I also got word from hubby about a sooner date and then got an email this AM that it has been pushed out. I had made a reservation at a super nice hotel where we were going to have a sweethearts package that included 2 free cocktails, breakfast in bed for 2, an ocean view room with king size bed, turn down service. Oh it was going to be so nice! Then I had to push it back.
Back to the jealousy bug I started off with... Now, not so much. Turns out the first group of wives and family there wont be able to see their service members until tomorrow. Apparently the plane broke down or something at their first stop stateside and they were delayed a whole day. Oh well. I would be so upset if I was all gussied up and ready to go and then was told my husband wouldn't be coming in with them! But I got over it before that news today.
In a way I am glad the date has been pushed back. I have so much to do to prepare for leaving my home open to someone else. It needs a thorough cleaning and I am doing my best. Some of the trees outside are shedding this weird fuzzy leaf and when you step on it or drive over it, it turns to dust. So the kids are tracking green leaf dust all over the house. Pac Pac is also tracking it in when he comes in from outside too.
Anyway, it's 12:30 AM. I got a call from my hubby! So good to hear his voice amidst this confusion about when he is supposed to arrive. The anticipation is unreal! I am starting to wonder if he exists or is a figment of my imagination! (Just kidding!) But I really can't wait to see him.
I have finished the dinner dishes after cooking. I cleaned out the car. I swept and raked the patio and driveway enough to fill one 33 gallon trash bag with those green weird leafy things. I went to the grocery store to buy diapers. I went to work for 8 hours then spent 30 additional minutes rearranging my vacation days to coordinate with the new date my husband has given me. I gave the kids a bath and got them in bed. This woman's work is never done! And on that note, I'm going to bed... Love you, honey!
